MGM Exclusivity Deal Blocks Other Las Vegas Hotels From Showing Mayweather vs. Pacquiao

If you’re planning on making the trek to Las Vegas to watch Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight Manny Pacquiao, you will have to do so from MGM Resorts International owned property.

A report from TMZ Sports revealed that MGM executives are preventing competitors from airing the fight in hotel rooms, bars or casinos. Thus creating a situation where those in Las Vegas will be forced to flock to MGM’s hotels.

With tickets expected to range from $1500-$7500, many boxing fans have planned on making the trip to The Strip in an effort to be immersed in the environment a fight the magnitude of Mayweather-Pacquiao will bring, but this will make finding a spot to watch much more difficult.

MGM Resorts owns and operates the Bellagio, Aria Resort and Casino, Vdara, The Mirage, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Excalibur and Circus Circus.

Mayweather versus Pacquiao will emanate from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 2 and airs live on pay-per-view for about $100.
