To Get Better, Travis Browne Left Friends, Family
Travis Browne, on “The Savage Dog Show,” discussing his move from Alliance to Jackson’s MMA:
“The biggest difference for me is that I don’t have distractions here in Albuquerque. I don’t have friends. I don’t have family. It’s nothing but eat, sleep and train. That’s the biggest difference for me, is I don’t have any connections here to either go out at night or get into any kind of trouble I can get into. It’s not like that here in Albuquerque. I stay focused and I just train every day and train to my fullest. That’s been the biggest different and also the coaching too. Stylistically it’s a big change. I don’t want to say it’s better or worse. It’s not better or worse; it’s on the same playing field as Alliance. It’s just different. Coach [Greg] Jackson really implements a game plan and different striking techniques that really help to finish your opponent as efficiently as possible. It’s just a little bit different.”
