By The Numbers: UFC on ESPN 57 Pre-Fight Edition


Top 10 contenders in the Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight division will put their time-tested skills to the test when Jared Cannonier dukes it out with Nassourdine Imavov in the UFC on ESPN 57 headliner this Saturday at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Meanwhile, Dominick Reyes looks to get back on track when he does battle with Dustin Jacoby in the three-round light heavyweight co-main event at 205 pounds.

As UFC on ESPN 57 “Cannonier vs. Imavov” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the bill bring to the table:

40: Years of age for Cannonier. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born in Dallas on March 16, 1984. Van Halen’s iconic “Jump” was the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 list at the time.

9: Countries in which Imavov has plied his mixed martial arts trade. He has gone 3-2 in the United States, 3-1 in France, 2-0 in Malta, 1-1 in Poland, 1-0 in Switzerland, 1-0 in Italy, 1-0 in Senegal, 1-0 in the United Arab Emirates and 0-0 with one no contest in Canada.

25: Significant strikes by which Reyes has been outlanded during his current four-fight losing streak. He has absorbed 230 such strikes in losses to Jon Jones, Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Prochazka and Ryan Spann while connecting with 205 of them.

12: Jacoby wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 63% of his career total (19). His list of UFC victims: Kennedy Nzechukwu, Dae Woon Jung, Darren Stewart and Justin Ledet.

39: Rounds started by Ricky Turcios as a professional mixed martial artist. The Team Alpha Male rep has gone the distance on 10 different occasions and carries an 8-2 record in those bouts. Turcios faces Raul Rosas Jr. in a three-round bantamweight showcase.

19: Years of age for Rosas Jr., who was born on Oct. 8, 2004 in Clovis, New Mexico. “Shark Tale” was the No. 1 movie at the domestic box office at the time.

1,547: Days spent by Brunno Ferreira as an undefeated fighter. He debuted with a first-round anaconda choke submission of Robson Eufrasio Lima at a Curitiba Fight Pro show on April 6, 2019 and started his career 10-0 before being knocked out by Nursulton Ruziboev in the first round of their UFC on ESPN 48 pairing on July 1, 2023. Ferreira meets Dustin Stoltzfus in a three-round middleweight attraction.

6: Stoltzfus victories by submission, accounting for 40% of his career total (15). His methods of choice: three rear-naked chokes, one guillotine choke, one kneebar and one twister.

10: Submission attempts from Julian Marquez in his six Octagon assignments. The Factory X export tried four of them against Maki Pitolo at UFC 258, ultimately settling on a fight-ending anaconda choke in the third round of their February 2021 scrap. Marquez tackles Zachary Reese in a three-round middleweight feature.

4: Promotions for which Reese has suited up as a prizefighter. In addition to his 0-1 mark in the UFC, he has gone 3-0 in Fury Fighting Championship, 2-0 in Peak Fighting and 1-0 in Dana White’s Contender Series.

150,000: Dollars in post-fight bonuses banked by Miguel Baeza across his six appearances in the UFC. He has been awarded “Fight of the Night” once and “Performance of the Night” twice. Baeza squares off with Punahele Soriano in a three-round welterweight appetizer.

31: Seconds needed for Soriano to bury Rafael Celestino with punches under the Titan Fighting Championship banner on April 6, 2018. More than six years later, it remains his fastest finish to date.

.755: Cumulative winning percentage between the 28 martial artist booked to compete at the event. They boast a combined record of 373-120-4. The undercard sees two undefeated fighters in action, as Daniel Marcos enters his bantamweight tilt opposite John Castaneda at 15-0 and Eduarda Moura steps into her women’s strawweight scrap against Denise Gomes at 10-0.
