UFC 277 Card, Odds
BetUS.com lists Nunes as a -280 favorite for the headliner, with Pena as a +210 underdog. In the co-main event, Moreno is favored at -220, with France coming back at +175.
Pena, 32, has rattled off back-to-back victories. The Sikjitsu product has not fought since she dethroned Nunes and scored one of the biggest upsets in mixed martial arts history with a rear-naked choke submission in the second round of their UFC 269 co-feature on Dec. 11. Pena, who won Season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2013, carries a 7-2 record in the UFC.
The 34-year-old Nunes finds herself on the rebound for the first time since 2014, the loss to Pena having halted her 12-fight winning streak. Even so, her legacy remains secure. The Brazilian’s remarkable resume includes victories over Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, Ronda Rousey, Cristiane Justino, Germaine de Randamie and Julia Budd. Nunes has compiled a 14-2 mark across her 16 appearances inside the Octagon.
The remainder of the main draw features a heavyweight tilt pitting Sergei Pavlovich (-140) against Derrick Lewis (+110), a flyweight confrontation slotting Alexandre Pantoja (-190) opposite Alex Perez (+155) and a light heavyweight scrap matching Magomed Ankalaev (-600) with Anthony Smith (+400). Welterweights anchor the eight-fight undercard, as Matthew Semelsberger (-160) toes the line against Alex Morono (+130) at 170 pounds.
