BetUS.com lists Poirier as a modest -145 favorite for the main event, with Gaethje as a +115 underdog. In the co-headliner, Blachowicz and Pereira are in a dead heat at -115.

Poirier, 34, has rattled off eight wins—including an April 2018 technical knockout of Gaethje—across his past 10 outings. The American Top Team rep last fought at UFC 281, where he put away three-time Bellator MMA champion Michael Chandler with a rear-naked choke in the third round of their Nov. 12 pairing. Poirier’s 21 victories inside the Octagon tie him for sixth on the UFC’s all-time list. Gaethje, meanwhile, has won six of his past eight bouts. The former World Series of Fighting champion last competed on March 18, when he was awarded a majority decision over Rafael Fiziev at UFC 286.

UFC 291 “Poirier vs. Gaethje” also features a lightweight affair pitting Bobby Green (-400) against Tony Ferguson (+300) and a pair of welterweight tilts, as Stephen Thompson (-150) meets Michel Pereira (+120) and Kevin Holland (-145) faces Michael Chiesa (+115). Welterweights anchor the undercard, as unbeaten Dana White’s Contender Series graduate Gabriel Bonfim (-320) sets his sights on Trevin Giles (+245).
