Bellator 141 Weigh-in Results: Guillard, Girtz Make Weight

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship contender Melvin Guillard is expecting great things for his career when he makes his Bellator MMA debut Friday night. “The Young Assassin” is set to fight Brandon Girtz in the main event of Bellator 141, which will be held inside the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif.

Both Guillard and Girtz made the lightweight limit easily at the weigh-ins Thursday afternoon, making their proposed brawl official. Girst was the firs to climb aboard the scale and he weighed in officially at 155.8 pounds. Guillard, not to be outdone, strolled to the scale and nailed it, clocking in officially at 155.4 pounds.

The co-main event fighters didn’t disappoint, either, as Saad Awad and Patricky Freire both made the 155-pound limit. Freire tipped the scale at 156 pounds while Awad weighed in at 155.8.

Bellator 141: airs live Friday night on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The preliminaries will air on Spike.com
