Prop Bet Odds Released on Jon Jones' CSAC Suspension, Next Opponent, Potential 2018 Arrest

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones will go before the California State Athletic Commission on Feb. 27, this coming Tuesday, to answer for his failed drug test for the steroid turinabol immediately prior to UFC 214. He faces a potential four-year suspension. How long “Jonny Bones” is actually suspended is anyone’s guess, but if you’ve got a good idea, you can make some money on it.

On Friday, BetDSI Sportsbook released a slate of prop bet odds on the future of the two-time UFC 205-pound champion, ranging from the outcome of his CSAC hearing, to his next opponent, even whether or not he will be arrested in 2018.

At UFC 214 this past July, Jones replicated his January 2015 win at UFC 182 over Daniel Cormier, knocking him out in the third round. However, a sample collected on July 28, 2017 -- just after UFC 214’s weigh-ins -- came back positive for turinabol. The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, the administrator of the UFC’s anti-doping policy, informed Jones and the promotion of the violation on Aug. 22 of last year.

It was Jones’ second anti-doping offense: prior to his initially scheduled rematch with Cormier at UFC 200 in July 2016, the Cortland, N.Y., native tested positive for the anti-estrogenic agent clomiphene, as well as letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor -- both of which are banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency -- thereby canceling the bout.

Jones’ maximum penalty of four years stands at +1000, though the lines seem to suggest that oddsmakers think “Bones” will get off easy, as eight months to a year can be bet at +275.

Whether or not Jones competes this year is pick ‘em odds at -115, yay or nay. The most audacious prop, whether or not Jones will be arrested this year, is-7000 for the negative and +3500 for the affirmative.
