Aung La N Sang Looking to Get Closer to the CFFC Welterweight Title at CFFC 26!

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Atlantic City, NJ – Simply known as the “Burmese Python”, Aung La Nsang will try to earn another victory inside the ring and out when he takes on Shedrick Goodridge on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Although a victory in the cage may be important to Sang, the Kachin fighter also has his thoughts outside of the ring as well. "For the first time in CFFC history, my fight will be available to people in Asia and Myanmar on live broadcast,” said Sang who currently makes his home in Maryland.

After defeating Jason Louck by knockout in the first round in October of 2012, Sang not only raised his hand in victory but his Kachin national flag. “I am excited that my friends, family and fans in Myanmar can view this event online and cheer me on via internet pay-per-view.” After that fight, Sang was involved in a bout that was declared a no contest and looks forward to his next opponent.

"This bout will be against a young and hungry 6’2” fighter, Shedrick Goodridge; an exciting striker and a good wrestler,” continued Sang. “This bout will be fought at a catch weight of 175 pounds and I have prepared really hard for this match. I trained six days a week, multiple sessions a day on boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling and Brazilian Jiu jitsu. I know I’m going to be ready and comfortable wherever the fight goes. Don’t blink because my style is always action packed and I always fight for the finish."

If Sang can get by Goodridge, a title shot at the CFFC welterweight champion could be in the near future. "My goal is to one day be the best welterweight MMA fighter in the world,” said Sang. “My priority in life is in achieving this dream. It doesn’t matter how many speed bumps or falls I take down the road, I am going to soldier on. One day I will be a champion and I don’t care how many people I have to go through to reach it. I may not be the most talented or athletic fighter but with a great team and hard work, I will achieve what many talented athletes can’t achieve. "
