FROM TOUGH MAN TO MIXED MARTIAL ARTIST, BOBBY TAYLOR ALWAYS LOOKS FOR THE KNOCKOUT

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Bobby Taylor (Memphis Judo and Jiu-Jitsu) is currently 3-2 and on a three fight win streak. However, things weren’t always this easy and MMA wasn’t his first introduction to combat sports.

A few years back, Taylor had entered a Tough Man competition just for fun and won. He then started entering more and more competitions and was victorious in those as well.

A guy he knew at college asked him if he wanted to start training (MMA) with he and his brother, so he started that next week. To this day, Taylor has put the Tough Man competitions behind him and is a full time mixed martial artist.

Known for his knockout power in both hands, Taylor is very dangerous when it comes to striking, and now that he is at Memphis Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, his ground game is improving tremendously everyday. According to his coach Dave Ferguson, “I’ve been watching Bobby KO people since he was an amateur fighting in Jackson, TN. He’s got that power, plus he is improving his ground game everyday. What’s most impressive is that he drives an hour and a half each way to come to training. His fitness level and ground game have improved a lot since joining our team. He will be in great shape and will not get tired.”

It’s pretty obvious that Taylor is pretty dedicated to his craft and is seeking the best training he can find. He will need that because on June 21 he will be facing his biggest test to date when he takes on undefeated fighter, Will Walker. When asked about this fight, here is what Taylor had to say:

“Walker appears to be a well rounded fighter with good wrestling and cardio. I feel great about this fight. I’ve started training at Memphis BJJ with Dave Ferguson and I feel I will be ready wherever the fight takes me. I think I have the advantage striking since my biggest strength is my punching power. I see it starting out as a striking match and then him looking to take me down. I’m shooting for a knock out or a TKO in the first round.”

Taylor has made a habit of making his fights a highlight reel. Will he do the same on June 21??? Get your tickets now and check it out.
