Owned Announces 3D GSP and Loiseau Movie

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Owned Entertainment Inc. announced today, along with Steven J. Wong and Bobby Razak Films, the biggest MMA Entertainment venture of all time with MMA's most marketable star. The Project is directed by Steven J Wong and is Executive Produced by James Hergott and Bobby Razak. It stars Ultimate Fighting Champion Georges St- Pierre and dynamic MMA fighter David "The Crow" Loiseau and is currently titled "The Striking Truth".

The Deal signed last week includes 3 years and hundreds of hours of never seen before HD footage filmed of Georges St-Pierre by Steven J. Wong, including his training, home life and all that happened behind the scenes as he grew from MMA fighter to UFC champion. It juxtaposes the story with former UFC contender David "The Crow" Loiseau and all of the ups and downs he has faced in his career. Revolutionary 3D technology is being utilized to take the footage shot and edit it in 3D. Additionally new scenes will be shot, including a full David Loiseau fight in 3D. The film also explores the relationship between the two athletes and their home life. It will also include several of St-Pierre and David’s early fights prior to competing in the UFC.

This is the exclusive documentary for charismatic Ultimate Fighting Champion Georges St-Pierre, who is currently ranked as one of the top "pound for pound" fighters by multiple MMA sources. For his exciting brand of fighting Georges St-Pierre (GSP) was named the Canadian Athlete of the Year by Rogers Sportsnet. Georges’ last fight at UFC 100; achieved Pay Per View buys in excess of 1.5 million, making it one of the most-watched PPV events in history according to Kevin Ioli of Yahoo Sports Online. Georges St-Pierre became the first MMA fighter to be sponsored by Gatorade (GSP’s Gatorade commercial includes footage from this movie) and Under Armour. Georges St-Pierre's UFC fight at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec reportedly sold out in minutes. GSP's face graced the cover of the official UFC video game in stores across Canada.

MMA is the fastest growing sport and is showing recession resiliency. The UFC's President Dana White comments on the sport's success, “The crazy thing about this sport is we haven't even scratched the surface on how big this thing is going to be. It's going to be the biggest sport in the world.”

In 2005 Hergott procured a distribution deal for his low budget feature film, getting it distributed in Regal, United Artist and Edwards theatres, which is the largest theatre chain in North America. Bobby Razak is MMA's top Director, who for the past ten years has exclusively directed all of the TapouT commercials and movies including Simply Believe, Mask, Bloodlines, Drysdale, and Pitfight Redux (Bobby Razak videos: http://www.vimeo.com/user863668). Razak is currently working on a Legalize MMA in Ontario and New York commercial campaign for clothing giant Ecko Unlimited including filming at Tristar gym in Montreal.

According to DreamWorks head Jeffrey Katzenberg; Digital 3-D movies usually gross at least three times as much as their flat-world counterpart. Cynthia Ludwig, editor of My Bloody Valentine 3D, which grossed over $51 million at the US Box Office this year, will edit the film’s 3D segments. Hergott comments, "GSP is the Boardwalk piece in MMA and Razak, Steven and I are going to build a hotel on that piece utilizing revolutionary technology. We want to create the most stunning MMA movie ever. And the best part is, it's all real!"

Announced December 4th, 2009, Sony pictures signed a 3-D video deal for the 2010 world cup. The Japanese electronics and entertainment company is one of several electronics makers planning or working on 3-D technology for TVs and movies. Sony makes 3-D capable video cameras, and plans to sell 3-D TVs for homes next year. Most 3-D releases so far have been animation films but the feature is gradually spreading to other genres, such as the soon-to-be-released sci-fi epic Avatar. Sony Corp. CEO Howard Stringer said, “Sports was definitely one area 3-D could display its strengths.”

The deal also includes exclusive tracks from French Canadian rapper Sans Pression, who has done entrance music for GSP for past UFC fights.

Since the Movie was primarily shot in Canada, about Canadian subject matter and with Canadian crew and cast it is subject to up to 40% in Canadian and provincial tax incentives and rebates.
