Kunchenko to Defend Welterweight Title Against Grabovich at M-1 Challenge 75
Reigning M-1 welterweight champion Alexey
Kunchenko now has an opponent for his next title defense, as he
will face Maxim
Grabovich at M-1
Challenge 75 on March 3 in Moscow. M-1 Global announced the
fight on Tuesday.
Kunchenko, who captured his crown by stopping Murad Abdulaev at M-1 Challenge 65 last April, was slated to face Shavkat Rakhmonov but a shredded knee removed Rakhmonov from the event. Kunchenko last fought in December when he edged Abdulaev in a rematch.
Grabovich, meanwhile, has won five in a row since dropping his first two professional bouts. The Russian most recently out-pointed John Palaiologos at a SOMMAF event last June.
M-1 Challenge 75 will be headlined by middleweight champ Alexander Shlemenko defending his throne against an opponent to be announced. M-1 Challenge 75 will be streamed live at M1Global.tv.
