Victory FC 50 Lineup Complete for May 21 UFC Fight Pass Event
Nebraska-based Victory Fighting Championship has unveiled the final
lineup for Victory FC 50, which goes down May 21 at the Kansas
Expocentre in Topeka, Kan. The event will be streamed live on UFC
Fight Pass starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and is headlined by a
heavyweight title scrum between Abe Wagner
and Daniel
Gallemore.
Also slated for the event will be the Victory FC bantamweight championship between Alexandre Pimentel and Jarred Mercado. Victory FC CEO Ryan Stoddard said that in addition to the double title fight marquee, the promotion’s 50th event will be their best one yet.
“For our 50th event, I’m delivering a blockbuster Victory
Fighting Championship card for Kansas, for our fans, and for this
company milestone,” Stoddard said. “I’ve stacked VFC 50 with 10
fights to keep fans standing on their feet from the first bout to
the last. This event will be a thriller that starts with a bang and
ends with back-to-back championship brawls for the VFC heavyweight
and featherweight straps.”
Also on the card will be a welterweight showdown between Maki Pitolo and Justin Guthrie. UFC veteran Yuri Villefort will face Cody Carillo in a lightweight skirmish, while Zak Bucia will take on Jake Lindsey, also at 155.
Chuka Willis is set to oppose Justin Overton at featherweight; Rob Morrow will lock horns with Kelvin Tiller in a duel at 205 pounds; bantamweights Bryan Timmons and Sharky Slater will tango; and Branden Chevreflis will go up against Ivey Nixon at welterweight. Finally, Hannah Zeciri will stand opposite Tabby Patterson in a women’s featherweight tilt.
