By The Numbers: Katlyn Chookagian vs. Amanda Ribas

The thrill of the big-game hunt evidently lured Amanda Ribas back to the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s flyweight division.

The former Jungle Fight champion will move to 125 pounds for the first time in nearly two years when she takes on Katlyn Chookagian in a three-round UFC on ESPN 36 showcase this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Ribas has rattled off six wins across her past seven appearances. She last fought at UFC 267, where she was awarded a unanimous decision over onetime Invicta Fighting Championships titleholder Virna Jandiroba on Oct. 30. Chookagian, meanwhile, climbs on the Octagon on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. She last competed on Jan. 15, when she took a unanimous verdict from Jennifer Maia in their three-round UFC on ESPN 32 pairing.
