TOTAL NUMBER OF LFA FIGHTS: 684
TOTAL NUMBER OF LFA EVENTS: 80

Legacy Fighting Alliance put on its final event of the year with LFA 79 and went out with a bang, pow and boom. The event featured the fastest submission in company history, a wealth of sub-minute finishes and a few surprising parallels to the promotion's first-ever event.

Round 1 Never Dies: Three fights ended by stoppage within the first 60 seconds, and the last time this occurred in the LFA cage came at LFA 1.

The Man With The Golden Armbar: Brandon Royval needed only 23 seconds to submit Nate Williams with an armbar for the flyweight strap, earning the fastest submission in promotional history.

Goldfingers: Royval obliterated Ricky Simon's 59-second stoppage record for the quickest finish in an LFA title fight, which also took place at flyweight.

Live And Let Finish: The finish for Royval also marks the fastest stoppage in an LFA main event. The previous record was held by Austin Lingo, who knocked out Chris Hatley in 25 seconds in the LFA 73 headliner.

GoldenFly: Royval's victory set the record for the fastest finish in LFA flyweight history, topping Jacob Silva's 30-second knockout of Raul Garcia at LFA 35.

Armraker: The previous record for the quickest armbar performed in LFA history came at LFA 1, when Fernando Salas tapped Josh Nealy in exactly 60 seconds.

The Gold Is Not Enough: Royval earned his sixth win inside the LFA cage, tying him with Lingo, Damon Jackson and Victor Altamirano for the most all-time.

Octodawgy: Royval competed in his eighth LFA bout, tying "Raw Dawg" with Nate Jennerman for the second-most and one shy of the record held by Bobby Lee.

A View To A Judge: In his ten career wins, Royval has only won by judges' verdict once, when he beat Charles Johnson at LFA 48. The other nine came by stoppage, including eight in the opening frame.

Casino Royvale: Royval is now the sixth fighter in company history to record multiple finishes within the first minute of the fight -- previously stopping Jerome Rivera in 40 seconds thanks to an arm injury technical knockout -- and the first to do so below the featherweight division.

You Only Measure Twice: With Royval measuring at five-foot-nine compared to Williams at five-foot-one, this was the greatest height discrepancy (eight inches) for an LFA title fight as well as any LFA flyweight bout.

From Georgia With Love: Zviad Lazishvili advanced his perfect record to 12-0 by taking a decision over Josh Huber. He has only needed to go the distance four times, with his remaining victories coming by tapout.

The Knee Who Loved Me: Recording the fourth flying knee knockout in LFA history by finishing Jaime Hernandez, at 139.4 pounds, Youssef Zalal is the lightest of those four to pull off this kind of finish.

For Your Body Only: In 36 seconds, Carlos do Carmo Motta smote George Martinez with a body kick and follow-up punches. This was the fastest body kick knockout in company history, and the third-fastest finish in flyweight history.

Headfall: Justin Wetzell smashed Michael Aquila with punches in 27 seconds, earning the second-fastest knockout in bantamweight history. Glen Baker required nine seconds to knock out Kevin Natividad in their 135-pound matchup at LFA 24.

Never Say Never Again: Coming into LFA 79, Lazishvili had never competed in the U.S. (11 fights), Martinez had never been defeated (four fights) and Jonathon Wyderko had never fought out of the second round (five fights).

Licence To Walkout: In all of the LFA events aired on AXS TV, the fighters had to choose generic walkout music. At this event, fighters used mainstream tracks including "Can't Be Touched" by Body Head Bangerz, as well as "Last Resort" by Papa Roach.
