“BITTER RIVALS” at Citizens Business Bank Arena on August 29 for Live Televised Broadcast

(PRESS RELEASE) -- RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California — On Saturday, August 29, 2015, King of the Cage returns to Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California for an exciting evening of MMA action…"BITTER RIVALS." The show will include 15 fights, with four current KOTC champions putting their title belts on the line.

In the main event, and a first for King of the Cage, a highly anticipated rematch, and once again, “Belt vs. Belt” showdown will take place. King of the Cage, World Lightweight and Jr. Welterweight Champion, Alex Reyes (7-1-0) from Victorville, California (Cage Combat Academy) puts his 160 lb. title on the line against Joshua Aveles (21-11-0) from Upland, California (Team Diamond Martial Arts), the King of the Cage 170 lb. Welterweight title holder. Joshua is looking to regain his 160 lb. championship belt, while Alex is looking to make history as the first fighter to hold the championship in three separate weight divisions at the same time. The bout will be contested at 165 lbs., and the winner take home both belts.

The co-main event features undefeated Women’s Strawweight Champion Danielle Taylor (5-0-0) from Palmdale, California (Saekson Muay Thai), who will put her 115 lb. title on the line. Taylor is the #1 ranked active California women (pound for pound).

The third title fight will feature King of the Cage Flyweight Champion, Reuben Duran (10-5-1) from Redlands, California (Pinnacle MMA) who will be defending his belt against Paul Webb from Temecula, California (Team Quest).

In other featured fight, Ricky Legere from Corona, California (Reign MMA) will be making his KOTC return in a highly anticipated match against J.J. Ambrose from Long Beach, California (Subfighter MMA), who will be making his highly anticipated KOTC debut. Both Legere and Ambrose are top ranked fighters.

Also, former King of the Cage Welterweight Champion, Sam Liera, from Fullerton, California, will be taking on Greece’s John Paleologus.

Competing as well will be four previous winners from the King of the Cage World Amateur Championships … Johnny Munoz Jr., Nicole Upshaw, Aaron Williams, and Saad Ul-Hassan.

Other featured fighters on card will include Ramos Cruz, Kyle Estrada, Derion Chapman, Cooper Gibson, Johnathan Quiroz, Kris Milner, Joey Ruquet, Anthony Renteria, Peter Joseph, Rich Mapstead, Anthony Flores, Erik van der Lee, and Daniel Martinez and more.
