Claudio Ledesma vs. Louis Gaudinot Headline CFFC 51!

(PRESS RELEASE) -- This Saturday September 12, 2015, Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) ventures back to Pennsylvania with a rock solid professional and amateur card at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Bethlehem highlighted by a featured flyweight tussle between Claudio Ledesma and Louis Gaudinot. This fight will serve as an elimination bout to see who is next to take on the current CFFC flyweight champion, Sideco Honorio.

The last time Louis Gaudinot (6-4) was in the cage, he was fighting for the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). After seven fights in four years, he parted ways with the organization and quickly became one of the most sought out free agents in the world. With one of the best flyweight rosters in the world, Gaudinot and CFFC seemed liked a perfect fit. “Having been to the CFFC fight cards with my teammate Jimmie Rivera, I was excited to join their ranks,” said Gaudinot. “The whole atmosphere is amazing, from the level of production, to the way they treat their fighters, and the fight cards they produce are just great. They offer me the perfect platform to get back to the UFC and show I am one the best flyweights in the world.”

"CFFC does not seek out fighters who are released from the UFC, unless we truly believe they have the talent to get back there,” stated CFFC CEO Robert Haydak Jr. “Louis is a great addition to our roster and will immediately look to make a statement as to why he's one of top flyweight fighters in the world who deserves to get back into the big show."

One of the reasons why Gaudinot chose to sign with CFFC is to become the organization’s flyweight champion. With a victory on Saturday night, Gaudinot controls his own destiny. “Being a former champ of Ring of Combat, I know that having the title of an organization like the CFFC will definitely help me get back to the UFC,” stated Gaudinot. “Two of my teammates were champions when they got the call to the UFC and that is my ultimate goal.”

However, beating Ledesma is no easy task and he knows just how dangerous he can be. “He is a tough fighter with a lot of experience, and he is good at all the disciplines of MMA,” said Gaudinot in his assessment of his opponent. “I'm excited for the challenge ahead of me. Doesn't matter who I fight and where, I am always going to train hard and be well prepared for the fight. Having amazing training partners like Jimmie Rivera and Julio Arce pushing me, I know I will be well prepared for the 12th. And with my coaching staff helping me improve day in and day out, I can't wait to put on a show in the main event. Don't expect a decision, I am going out there to put on an exciting fight. “You can tell the judges to take a break because this one is not going three rounds.”

Claudio Ledesma (11-5) enters the CFFC cage this Saturday for the sixth time with one of the most impressive resumes in the organization. Out of his five losses, Ledesma has never been finished with three of his losses coming at the hands of current UFC fighters including former CFFC champions, Jimmie Rivera and Aljamain Sterling. With a two fight win streak, Ledesma’s confidence is peaking after a dominant decision win over Evan Velez in May of this year. “My last fight was great for my confidence,” advised Ledesma. “Not so much because I won, but more because I was in certain tough

situations where things didn't go according to plan and I had to just bite down on my mouth guard and get the “W”. Those were the situations that in the past I might have folded.”

With that confidence, Ledesma didn’t hesitate when offered the chance to fight the UFC veteran but it wasn’t really about CFFC gold. “It really had nothing to do with Gaudinot”, replied Ledesma. “I've never turned down a fight I was able to take. Plus right now I feel I'm one of the best flyweights around and this matchup is the best way for me to show that. I have nothing but respect for Louis as a fighter.

I've been watching him fight since I was an amateur, and watch him climb the ladder of success. He's tough, crafty, and very durable. He's definitely not going to be a walk in the park and that's what excites me about this fight.”

"Claudio deserves to be in the position to fight as the top contender,” continued Haydak. “He had a convincing win over Evan Velez last time out and has been very impressive as of late. He is solid everywhere and knows how big a win over Louis would be. I fully expect the best Claudio ever this Saturday night."

From his confidence to his training camp, Ledesma appears to be riding on all cylinders and he too is eager for Saturday to get here. “Everything is going great and we've just been building on and evolving,” stated Ledesma. “My goal is always for last fight's footage to be worthless to anyone who tries to study me. As far as training partners, besides my great coaches, I have to attribute my recent success to the amount of time I've been spending at Nick Catone's MMA the last year or so. There's a room full of talent there each day that just gets after it.”

For this Saturday, there can only be one result according to Ledesma. “A bunch of different scenarios have played through my head constantly. In each, the fight will be a treat for the crowd, and in each I come out with my hand raised.

"Hands down, CFFC has the best flyweight division outside the UFC right now,” stated Haydak. “This Saturday night's bout between two of the best will set the stage as to who will be challenging for the title next time out. If both Louis and Claudio bring their A-games, then the fans will be standing the whole time for this one!"

CFFC 51 will also feature a co-main event between two hard hitting lightweights when Bradley Desir (5-4) takes on the undefeated Jimmy Jordan (5-0). Desir has won three out of his last four fights by stoppages, while Jordan looks to continue his perfection in the cage. In another featured bout, Philadelphia’s Sean Brady looks to improve to (3-0) when he takes on Chase Owens (4-5) in a welterweight bout. Hometown favorite, Eddie Alvarez will also return to CFFC after his devastating knockout of Gabriel Fonseca in his professional debut at CFFC 49. Also, scheduled on the card is the professional debut of Shawn Teed who will take on Ed Abrasley in a heavyweight showdown. Here is a look at the scheduled card:
