Dominick Reyes is making moves in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s light heavyweight division.

“The Devastator” earned his sixth consecutive 205-pound triumph in dominant fashion in the UFC on ESPN 6 headliner, as he earned a technical knockout triumph over ex-middleweight champion Chris Weidman in Boston. Although Reyes already boasted victories over Volkan Oezdemir, Ovince St. Preux and Jared Cannonier, Weidman is arguably the biggest name on his resume to date. More importantly, hot streaks like Reyes’ don’t come often at light heavyweight: His latest win tied him with Alexander Gustafsson for the fourth-longest winning streak in the history of the division. As a result, Reyes moves up one spot ahead of Jan Blachowicz to No. 6 in our latest poll. Weidman, meanwhile, is denied entry at 205 pounds and is just weeks away from exiting the middleweight bubble due to a year of inactivity, as well.

Elsewhere, Yair Rodriguez settled his score with Jeremy Stephens by taking a decision triumph over “Lil Heathen” in the UFC on ESPN 6 co-main event. The Mexican standout has lost just once in 10 promotional appearances, but he stays put at No. 8 at 145 pounds. Meanwhile, surging prospect Maycee Barber makes her debut on the women’s flyweight bubble on the strength of a first-round TKO of Gillian Robertson in another featured bout at UFC Boston.

Weekly housekeeping update: By majority staff vote, Joanna Jedrzejczyk exits the women’s flyweight rankings before her the expiration of her one-year eligibility period. The Polish star entered the poll after dropping a relatively competitive five-round verdict to dominant champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 231 in December 2018, so her time was limited regardless, as it appears she will remain at strawweight for the foreseeable future.
